VM Create from Template

To be able to use the activity, you need to install VMware PowerCLI on the Resolve Actions Express Executor server.

Activity Description​

Creates a Virtual Machine from a template.

Settings​

  • Host Name—The host name or IP address. This must be either the vCenter device or the ESXi device (you can configure the device with Platform type vCenter/ESXi under Devices).
  • User Name—The user name of an account that has read/write access to the host.
  • Password—The password of the account listed in the User Name field.
  • Template name—The name/UUID of the Virtual Machine from which to clone the new Virtual Machine.
  • Target Host (ESX)—Enables you to create the template in a different host than the one that was listed in Host Name.
  • Clone Name—The name of the new Virtual Machine.
  • Spec Name—The name of the Virtual Machine's configuration specification file.
